Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, and Technical Project Work
Conor Mulligan - Engineering Portfolio
About Me
Mechanical Engineer | Advanced Manufacturing | Systems-Focused Fabrication
I am a mechanical engineer and incoming Master of Engineering Management student at Dartmouth College, with experience across aerospace, defense, advanced energy systems, manufacturing, and hands-on product development.
My professional work has included supporting safety-critical submarine manufacturing at General Dynamics Electric Boat, contributing to advanced power-system prototyping at Boeing and Tamer Space, and developing hydrogen reactor systems and laboratory safety solutions through industry and academic projects. Across these experiences, I have built a strong foundation in mechanical design, fabrication, systems thinking, technical documentation, and practical engineering execution.
Outside of my professional work, I design and build high-detail fabrication projects using resin printing, FDM printing, CAD, CNC machining, metalworking, electronics, and advanced finishing techniques. These projects allow me to keep developing the same skills I value in engineering: precision, patience, material understanding, problem-solving, and the ability to take an idea from concept to finished build.
This portfolio brings together my professional engineering work and personal fabrication projects, highlighting the way I approach technical challenges: with curiosity, discipline, and a focus on building things that work.
